Title

APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL SPENDING ON CS2020-004 WITH OPERATIVE IQ, FOR SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,000 FOR A REVISED TOTAL OF $107,000.

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Approve additional spending on CS2020-004 with Operative IQ, for the purchase of additional license, asset tracking modules, and hardware.

Body

Background:

The Fire Department currently has agreement CS2020-004 in place with Operative IQ for $57,000. This five (5) year agreement was accomplished through City Standard in March of 2020 and is set to expire March 11, 2025. When the department entered into the agreement, the intended use of the software was limited to inventory and asset management of our front-line emergency response vehicles and the main supply storage area. Since that time, Operative IQ has greatly enhanced their product line to include a Service Desk module for reporting damaged equipment, RFID tracking hardware and software, a Fleet module for reporting and tracking needed repairs to fire department vehicles, and a Facilities module to reporting and tracking needed repairs to fire department facilities including Ocean Rescue.

Due to these product enhancements and additional modules, the department has a need to add funds to the existing agreement CS2020-004. Based on the current needs of the department, the annual cost is $30,288.
