FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT NIGHT WORK REQUEST:  PROVIDE A RECOMMENATION TO THE CITY COMMISSION TO DEVIATE FROM THE WORK HOUR LIMITATIONS IN THE COEE OF ORDIANCES, SECTION 99.03(A)(4), LOUD AND UNNECESSARY NOISES PRHIBITED:  CONSTRUCTION

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

The Development Services Management Group (DSMG) is asked to make a recommendation on the request for night work from Florida Power & Light (FPL).

Body

Background:

FPL’s contractor, Pike Electric is replacing poles on A-1-A from 100 N Ocean Ave to 126 N Ocean Ave.  They have to use a crane to set the poles and are requesting overnight work because the crane will occupy both travel lanes on A-1-A and would require use of the parking spaces to provide for a single lane flagger operation.

Timing of Request:

The timing of these requests is of high importance to allow projects to continue construction.
