Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to approve Additional Spending for Agreement P2024-004 with Al Packer, Inc., and Schumacher Automotive Delray, LLC. for the purchase of OEM Automotive Parts, Supplies, and Services in the amount of $60,000 for a revised total of $220,000.

Body
Background:
The Fleet Maintenance Division of Public Works (Fleet) is responsible for maintaining and repairing all City of Delray Beach (City) vehicles. Many of these vehicles are manufactured by Ford and therefore require Ford OEM parts and/or contracted repairs.

On December 12, 2023, the City Commission approved Resolution Nos. 250-23 and 251-23 with Al Packer, Inc., and Schumacher Automotive Delray, LLC., respectively, for the purchase of Ford OEM parts utilizing Sourcewell RFP No. 101520. The agreement is valid through December 14, 2024 and is eligible for a one-year renewal. The total agreement value as approved by the City Commission is currently $80,000/year for a total of $160,000.

Fleet continues to experience an increase in cost for automotive parts and services. This has been especially impactful due to the City’s aging fleet of vehicles. In a continued effort to maintain the City’s fleet in a safe and reliable manner, Fleet is requesting additional spending in the amount of $30,000/year for a total increase of $60,000.

Agreement Value
Initial Term December 12, 2023-December 14, 2024 $110,000
Final Renewal December 15, 2024 - December 14, 2025 $110,000
TOTAL $220,000
