Based upon the results of the interviews, City Staff recommends the selection candidates to fill the Internal Auditor position.

Background:
At the direction of the City Commission, the position of Internal Auditor was posted online for recruitment from May 22, 2024 until June 9, 2024. In addition to the City’s website, the recruitment was posted on websites for Florida League of Cities, Florida City/County Managers Association and International City Manager’s Association.
A total of twenty-one (21) applications were received. Human Resources reviewed the applications and identified those that met or exceeded the minimum qualifications for the position. The applications and resumes were given to the Mayor and Commissioners for their consideration and they provided Human Resources with the names of the five candidates they wished to interview. Those candidates were: Justin Kim, Niral Patel, John Sincore, Ehasan Sorbi, Kevin Woods.
These five semi-finalists were invited to participate in one-on-one interviews with the Mayor and Commissioners on the afternoon of August 19, 2024 . At the conclusion of those interviews, the candidates were ranked and the finalists were interviewed by the Commission as a group at a Special Meeting at 5:00pm on August 19, 2024.
