Motion to authorize Wannamacher Jensen to proceed with Master Plan based on Concept 2, as presented.

Background:
On December 5, 2017 an agreement was awarded to Wannamacher Jensen Architects, Inc. for the Pompey Park Community Center and Campus Pre-Design Study and Master Plan Services. The original contract was extended through August 5, 2019 to allow the City of Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department and Wannamacher Jensen to hold stakeholder meetings throughout the whole evaluation and design process to ensure community engagement. The following are important dates that occurred through this process:
12/05/17 - RFP 2017-069 awarded to Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc
04/04/18 - Community Stakeholder Meetings (2 meetings) @ Pompey Park
04/05/18 - Internal Stakeholder Meeting @ Pompey Park
06/25/18 - Information gathering meetings with City Commissioners
10/22/18 - Public Meeting @ Pompey Park
10/29/18 - City Commission & CRA Board presentations
10/31/18 - RFP 2017-069 extension (through 08/05/2019)
Based on the Community and Commissioner/CRA input received, Wannamacher Jensen is now prepared to present design alternatives to the Commission. Wannamacher Jensen is seeking direction to proceed with Concept 2. Concept 2 was the consensus option based on public and Commission/CRA Commission meetings.
If Concept 2 is approved, Wannamacher Jensen will proceed with Phase 4 which includes a Campus Master Plan and Pre-design Report.
