Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Approve a Project Consultancy & Design Services Funding Agreement (Level 2 Design Services) with Conde Center For Chiropractic Neurology for the proposed improvement project at 401 West Atlantic Avenue, #O14, for an amount not to exceed $15,000.
Body
Background:
The Conde Center for Chiropractic Neurology (Conde Center), owned by Dr. John Conde (Owner), is requesting funding assistance under the Project Consultancy & Design Services Program for an improvement project at 401 West Atlantic Avenue, #O14, within CRA sub-area #3, for an amount not to exceed $15,000.
The Conde Center was established in 2006 by Dr. Conde, a Board-Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. The practice delivers quality healthcare services including, chiropractic care, physical therapy, functional neurology, and treats both orthopedic conditions and neurological dysfunctions.
After sixteen years at the current location, the practice has grown exponentially. To accommodate this growth, Dr. Conde is seeking funding assistance to increase efficiency and maximize utilization by re-designing the existing space. The Project Consultancy & Design Services Program will help him conceptualize this re-imagined space. If awarded, the completed conceptual designs and plans produced will be used to apply for the Site Development Assistance Funding Program, which will help with the actual construction and improvement costs.
A funding assistance award to The Conde Center for Chiropractic Neurology will help further advance the CRA’s mission by supporting a commercial improvement project that will result in the activation of commercial space in the Northwest Neighborhood of the CRA District. The project also helps to further economic development efforts by supporting the expansion of an existing small business that will create new jobs for Delray Beach residents and increase business activity in a priority area of the CRA District. Assisting businesses with the cost of improvements, helps to eliminate blighted conditions and promote new business activity in Sub-Area #3 of the CRA District.
