Approve the Temporary Use Agreement (“Agreement”) with Emanuel Jackson, Sr. Project, Inc. for the Fourth Annual CommUNITY Block Party on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

Background:
Emanuel Jackson, Sr. Project, Inc. (“EJS”) is hosting their fourth annual CommUNITY Block Party, bringing the community together with entertainment, food, fun, and activities for all ages. EJS has submitted a request to utilize the 600 Block of West Atlantic Avenue as the event site and 700 West Atlantic Avenue for parking. The event will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 11:00am to 9:00pm.
To allow the utilization of the CRA-owned properties for events and activities, a Temporary Use Revocable License Facility Use Agreement is required.
At this time, Staff is requesting the Board to approve the Temporary Use Agreement with EJS to use the 600 Block of West Atlantic Avenue as the event site and 700 West Atlantic Avenue for parking (PCN listed below):

CRA Attorney Review:
The CRA Attorney has prepared the attached Temporary Use Agreement with Emanuel Jackson, Sr. Project, Inc. for the fourth annual CommUNITY Block Party and finds it legally sufficient and acceptable as to form.
