Motion to approve Resolution No. 117-24 to award an Agreement with Michelin North America, Inc. for Tires with Related Equipment and Supplies utilizing Sourcewell Contract No. 082521-MLN in the amount of $586,666.

Background:
On November 2, 2021, Sourcewell entered into Contract No. 082521-MLN, a four-year agreement with Michelin North America, Inc. (Michelin) for Tires with Related Equipment and Supplies pursuant to RFP No. 082521. The Sourcewell contract is valid through November 5, 2025, with the option to renew for up to one (1) additional year.
The Fleet Division of the Public Works Department (Fleet) has an ongoing need to purchase tires and related services offered through the Sourcewell contract to maintain the operation and safety of City vehicles. Using the Sourcewell contract, Fleet will be able to purchase tires and related services for all City vehicles, including but not limited to Police vehicles, Fire Rescue apparatuses (i.e. fire trucks), and ambulances.
The Sourcewell contract is awarded to Michelin but agencies utilizing the contract place orders with and pay dealers within Michelin’s authorized dealer network directly, rather than Michelin. Fleet intends to utilize Michelin authorized dealers Martino Tire and Snider Tire, Inc.
