Motion to Approve Resolution No. 108-24 to award an agreement with Hinterland Group, Inc., for lift station rehabilitation services utilizing Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) Liftstation Rehabilitation Construction Contract No. PBCWD 23-031 in the amount of $1,020,000 and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options in the amounts listed below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:

On July 5, 2023, Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department served as “lead agency” published PBCWUD Project No. 23-031, for 2023 Lift Station Rehabilitation Continuing Construction Contract. The initial contract term is for a period of two (2) years, effective January 24, 2024, through January 23, 2026, with an option of one additional one (1) year renewal valid through January 23, 2027.

 

The City of Delray Beach Utilities Department (Utilities) performs annual programmed rehabilitation on approximately four (4) to five (5) city sewage lift stations for those exhibiting the lowest rating identified for rehabilitation. Annual estimated expenditures is approximately $420,000 (per year).

 

This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinance Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policy.
