Motion to approve Resolution No. 224-23 for the issuance of a purchase order to Tampa Crane & Body Acquisition, LLC. dba Tampa Crane, for the purchase of a Schwarze Model A7SE Tornado Street Sweeper utilizing Sourcewell 093021-SWZ, in the amount of $354,612.00.

Background:
The Fleet Division of Public Works (Fleet) is responsible for the replacement of vehicles in the City’s fleet. Stormwater Street Sweeper # 6983 has exceeded its life expectancy as a front-line vehicle and is scheduled for replacement in the approved FY2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget.
On November 22, 2021, Sourcewell awarded Contract No. 093021-SWZ to Schwarze Industries, Inc., and its authorized dealers for the purchase of Street Sweepers and Specialty Sweepers, with Related Equipment, Accessories, and Supplies. The contract is valid through November 16, 2025.
Utilizing the pricing, terms, and conditions of Sourcewell Contract No. 093021-SWZ, Fleet is requesting the issuance of a purchase order to Tampa Crane & Body Acquisition, LLC. dba Tampa Crane (Tampa Crane) for a new Schwarze Model A7SE Tornado Street Sweeper. Tampa Crane is the authorized dealer for Schwarze equipment for the Delray Beach area and currently has this vehicle available in their inventory for purchase, pending issuance of purchase order.
This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies, Accessing Contracts from Other Government Agencies and Not-for-Profit Organizations.

City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding will be available from account number 501-43-390-549.64-14 (Heavy Equipment) for prepayment until a Lease Purchase Agreement, as approved at the October 17, 2023, City Commission meeting, is executed to reimburse the Central Garage Fund.
Timing of Request:
This request is extremely time sensitive to secure the vehicle currently available in the dealer’s inventory.
