Body
Background:
On January 4, 2024, the City Commission (City) approved Resolution No. 26-24 for the issuance of purchase orders to Bozard Ford Co., Ameri-Recreational Sports, LLC., Alan Jay Ford Lincoln Mercury, Inc., and Deere & Company, utilizing Florida Sheriff's Association Contract No. FSA23-VEL31.0 and FSA23-EQU21.0 and Sourcewell Contract No. 091521-NAF and 031121-DAC for the purchase of new vehicles.
Following approval of the resolution, the Fleet Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department (Fleet) was notified that Ameri-Recreational Sports, LLC. (Ameri-Rec) is not authorized to sell the four (4) Polaris Sportsman in the geographical area encompassing the City utilizing the prices, terms, and conditions of FSA23-EQU21.0. Fleet worked with the vendor and has agreed upon a comparable unit - Yamaha Kodiak 700 - that the vendor is authorized to sell utilizing FSA23-EQU21.0.
Following the issuance of the purchase order for the five (5) Toyota Highlanders, Fleet was notified by the vendor that the vehicles were no longer available for purchase. Again, Fleet worked with the vendor to locate a comparable vehicle - Chevrolet Traverse - for purchase.
These changes resulted in a reduction of the not-to-exceed amount by $22,662, for a revised total (inclusive of the original $15,000 contingency) of $1,377,750.97.
These changes are reflected in Resolution No. 84-24 thereby partially repealing Resolution No. 26-24.
