Motion to approve Resolution No. 71-25 to award an Agreement to DoneRite Pumps, Inc., for electric motor pump repairs pursuant to ITB No. 2025-024 in a total amount not to exceed $1,764,800.

Background:

On January 17, 2025, the City of Delray Beach (City) issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2025-024 for electric motor pump repairs, 409 vendors viewed the bid on BidNet. On February 12, 2025, the Purchasing Department (Department) received eight (8) responses to the bid referenced below. After the (Department) conducted its due diligence, the bid was recommended for award to DoneRite Pumps, Inc., as the lowest and responsible bidder. The bid award provides an initial term of the agreement for three (3) years, with two (2) additional one-year renewal terms valid through April 21, 2030.

The Utilities Department has a need to repair or rebuild electric pumps at sewage lift stations on an as needed basis. In order to ensure public health and compliance with Health Department Regulations, pump repairs must be completed in a timely manner in order to resume operation effectiveness of the City's pumping stations. The size and severity of the pump failure is unknown until a failure occurs. Staff recommends aware to DoneRight Pumps, Inc., to repair and rebuild electric pumps as needed.

 

This motion is in accordance with Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies.

 

Should the City exercise the renewal options provided in the Agreement, the cumulative estimated contract value through the term of the contract is provided below.
