Motion to approve Resolution 135-23 to award agreement to Bennett Fire Products Company, Inc. for the purchase of fire fighter personal protective equipment (PPE) for an amount not to exceed $900,000 utilizing Lake County Contract Number: 22-730B.

Background:
On August 1, 2022, Lake County awarded an agreement to Bennett Fire Products Company, Inc., for fire equipment parts, supplies and services. The original term of the agreement was for one (1) year, effective August 1, 2022, through July 31, 2023, with two (2), two (2) year options to renew. Lake County executed the first of the two (2) renewal options, (Modification Number: 2), valid through September 30, 2025.
The Fire Department has an ongoing need to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE). The Lake County Agreement provides best available pricing while saving time and money in the procurement process.
Should the City exercise the renewal options provided in the Agreement, the cumulative Agreement value is provided below.
This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies.
