Title

APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 63-25 TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH CINTAS CORPORATION NO. 2 FOR PURCHASE FIRE RESCUE RELATED FACILITY SERVICES AND SUPPLIES.

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve Resolution No. 63-25, authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Cintas Corporation No. 2 for the provision of first aid, eye wash, hygiene, and other fire rescue-related products and services. These services will be procured utilizing competitively bid pricing available through the University of Nebraska's OMNIA Partners Cooperative (RFP No. 370222-4618). This procurement is consistent with Chapter 36 of the City’s Code of Ordinances and the City’s Purchasing Policies.

Body

Background:

Delray Beach Fire Rescue currently manages hygiene, first aid, and facility maintenance supplies using a decentralized model, which has led to inefficiencies, inconsistencies in service, and fragmented purchasing. The proposed agreement with Cintas Corporation No. 2 addresses these issues by standardizing service delivery and consolidating procurement under a single vendor.

The agreement leverages pricing established by the University of Nebraska through its competitively solicited Request for Proposal No. 370222-4618, administered via OMNIA Partners Public Sector Cooperative Purchasing Program. Cintas is a designated vendor under this contract and has agreed to extend the same terms, pricing, and services to the City of Delray Beach.

Services include weekly delivery and replenishment of cleaning solutions, mops, floor mats, restroom supplies, and related inventory across fire rescue facilities. This program improves safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across all DBFR locations.

The agreement will run through May 31, 2028, with an option to renew for an additional five years upon mutual agreement.  The Fire Department will oversee contract administration, and the agreement allows for early termination at the discretion of the City.
