Motion to approve Amendment No. 2 to Agreement RFQ No. 2022-034 Owners Representative Services for Design-Build Construction Project of a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP), and related improvements for Phase II including Progressive Design-Build Support Services in a total amount not to exceed value of $991,920.

Background:
On November 15, 2022, under Resolution No. 189-22, the City entered into an agreement with Hazen & Sawyer (Contractor) for owner’s representative services for the design-build construction project of a new water treatment plant and related improvements. Work Authorization No. 1 included water treatment plant concept validation, design-building procurement services, project controls, reporting and additional engineering services.
On June 18, 2024, City Commission approved Amendment No. 1 for (Phase I), that included Work Authorization No. 2 for funding assistance, pre-design engineering, review of design packages, schedule, cost review and additional engineering services, and Work Authorization No. 3 to prepare specification to integrate data into Cityworks computerized maintenance and management system as the repository of the City’s water and wastewater assets, and develop requirements for design-builder submittals, evaluate multiple CMMS solutions and provide a list of recommended vendors.
The Utilities Department (Department) seeks approval of Amendment No. 2 (Phase II) and Work Authorization No. 4, that includes office services , project controls, field services and additional engineering services during construction in a total not-to-exceed value of $991,920.
