Motion to Approve Resolution No. 105-24 approving an agreement with Johnson-Davis, Inc., for the purpose of repairs and/or emergency services on “as needed basis”, for water distribution and wastewater collection utility services, utilizing the City of Lake Worth Beach Solicitation No. lFB #20-106, in a total contract value not to exceed $300,000.

Background:
On April 15, 2020, the City of Lake Worth Beach advertised IFB # 20-106 for Emergency Utility Repairs for Water, Wastewater and Stormwater. The bid was awarded to two (2) of the lowest bidders that included B & B Underground Construction, and Johnson-Davis, Inc. On June 3, 2020, the notice of intent award was amended to include an additional Contractor Hinterland Group, Inc. The term of agreement was for an initial (3) years effective July 10, 2020, through July 9, 2023, with two additional one (1) year renewals valid through July 9, 2025. On July 15, 2022, the City of Lake Worth Beach amended the agreement to include additional unit price items. On January 4, 2024, the City of Lake Worth Beach amended the agreement to extend the agreement for an additional one (1) year valid through July 9, 2025, and to include additional Federal Clauses. All other terms and conditions of the contract remain the same.
The Utilities (Utilities) Department requests to utilize this contract for repairs and emergency services on an “as needed basis” for larger installs and repairs for water/sewer force mains, gravity sewer mains, water mains, and meter installations, as well as valve installations.
This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinance Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policy.
