APPROVAL OF THE NON-IMPACT EVENT KNOWN AS "LION ORDER GOLD HEALTH AND WEALTH SYMPOSIUM" TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 8, 2025 AT POMPEY PARK; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT.

Recommended Action:
Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as Lion Order Gold Health and Wealth Symposium to be held on February 8, 2025; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
Lion Order Gold submitted a Special Event Application on December 8, 2024 for the event Lion Order Gold Health and Wealth Symposium to be held on February 8, 2025 at Pompey Park in the auditorium and on the tennis courts. This event will be inclusive of speakers to guide the community for better health and wealth, free cancer screenings, vendors with information, and a tennis demonstration. This symposium has happened for the previous three years, however it is expanding to include outdoor use of the tennis courts, which is why it is going through the approval process. There will be free Jersey Mike's food for the attendees of the event. The attendance is anticipated at 100 people. The event will take place from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Richard Williams will be one of the speakers in attendance.

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.
No special conditions are recommended by SETAC
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
There is no impact to city all costs will be billed to the event producer.
Timing of Request:
The event is quickly approaching and the producer would like to advertise.
