Recommended Action:
Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as Court of Dreams to be held on March 28, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
The Special Olympics Florida submitted a Special Event Application on January 16, 2026, for the event Court of Dreams to be held at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on March 28, 2026. This is the first time this event will be held. The event is a tennis and pickleball community fundraiser. The Special Olympics Florida will be raising funds to support the mission to provide year round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for people with intellectual disabilities. This event will have alcohol, food, live music, tennis and pickleball. There will be no cooking on site. The producer is expecting about 150 people in attendance. The event will take place 4pm - 9pm.

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.
No special conditions are recommended by SETAC
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Special Olympics Florida is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit and will receive a 50% waiver of city soft costs.
Timing of Request:
The event is quickly approaching and the producer would like to get everything in place.
