Authorize CRA Staff to post a sixty (60) day requesting applicants for the CRA Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) pursuant to Article 3.2 of the RAC Resolution and direction on future RAC assignments.

2025-2026 Application Period:
At the April 30, 2025 CRA Board Meeting, the CRA Board discussed the Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) term pursuant to Article 3.3 of the RAC Resolution. The Board supported the continuation of RAC for an additional year and discussed revisiting the structure of the committee, the appointment process, and shifting the focus to new projects beyond the current assignments.
Article 3.1 of the RAC Resolution states that “[t]he term of the RAC shall be for one (1) one-year term”. Considering that the CRA Board is seeking to continue RAC for another year, Staff is seeking approval to post a sixty (60) day request for applicants for RAC pursuant to Article 3.2 of the RAC Resolution.
CRA Staff anticipates the following timeline:
June 5, 2025 - August 4, 2025 (60 days) RAC Appointment Application
Late June 2025 Pre-Submission Meeting Held by CRA Staff for RAC Appointment Application
September 2025 CRA Board Meeting CRA Board Appointment of RAC Members and CRA Board Approval of RAC Meetings Dates
October or November 2025 (TENTATIVE) RAC’s First Meeting
RAC Assignments:
Article 5 of the RAC Resolution states that the CRA Board assigns matters to RAC and assignments must be approved by majority vote of the CRA Board. The current RAC assignments are as follows:
1) General Development Ideas for West Atlantic Avenue Corridor
2) Review Conceptual Site Plan for 600-800 West Atlantic Block
