Background:
At its July 12 regular meeting, the Commission approved staff’s recommend TRIM millage and scheduled discussion of the proposed budget for this August 16 meeting. They requested that this discussion relate the value of services provided to proposed spending. A discussion outline (FY 2017 Proposed Budget - Aug 16 presentation) is attached, including level of service recaps for the three public safety departments, and for Information Technology.
Also at the July 12 meeting, the Commission asked a specific question relating to the budget worksheets. Staff’s response, sent to the Commission on July 15 (Role of Worksheets in Budget Preparation), is also attached.
