Title

REVIEW AND ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE DELRAY BEACH CITY COMMISSION LOCAL RULES OF PROCEDURE AND QUASI-JUDICIAL RULES

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to Adopt Amendments to the Local Rules of Procedure and Quasi-Judicial Rules of the Delray Beach City Commission.

Body

Background:

This amendment to the City’s Local Rules of Procedure and Quasi-Judicial Rules (the “Local Rules”) removes the requirement for speakers to provide their address before being able to participate in public comment.  Consistent with the direction of the City Commission given at its October 14, 2025 meeting, the Local Rules only require a speaker to provide their name and zip code during public comment.

It should be noted that this amendment is only applicable to public comment.  Members of the public wishing to participate in a quasi-judicial proceeding are still required to provide their name and address.
