Motion to approve Resolution No. 62-24, for issuance of a purchase order to Tradewinds Power Corporation North; utilizing Florida Sheriff's Association (FSA) Contract No. FSA23-EQU21-0 Equipment Solicitation under the Cooperative Purchasing Program, for purchase of two (2) 100Kw diesel generators in a total amount not to exceed of $246,104 ($123,052 each respectively).

Background:
On May 5, 2024, the Florida Sheriff's Association Cooperative Purchasing Program awarded Contract No. FSA23-EQU21-0 to 78 equipment dealers, by geographical location, for the purchase of 453 equipment items for construction, material handling, transportation, all-terrain utility vehicles and grounds care equipment. FSA Cooperative Purchasing program extends and guarantees contract pricing to any unit of local government, political subdivision or agency of the State of Florida, valid through September 30, 2025.
The Utilities Liftstation Maintenance Division has been replacing generators as they reach their useful life. On August 19, 2024 under Resolution No. 158-24 City Commission approved issuance of purchase order for the purchase of three (3) 40Kw generators. This new purchase includes an increased size to 100Kw. Generators vary in size based on the Liftstation.
