Motion to approve additional spending on Agreement P2023-026 with Trane U.S. INC. for HVAC Products, Installation, Labor-based Solutions, and Related Products and Services in the amount of $1,462,825.00 for a revised contract total of $4,005,818.20.

Background:
On April 4, 2023, Commission approved the use of the Racine County, Wisconsin contract through U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance. The awarded term was a five-year contract to Trane U.S. Inc. (Trane), for HVAC products, installation, labor-based solutions, and related products and services effective September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2027, with one (1) five-year option for renewal pursuant to Contract No. 3341. The City of Delray Beach is currently registered as a Participating Public Agency with OMNIA Partners.

On February 6, 2024, the City approved an additional spending of $94,660.00. These funds were used for temporary AC in Development Services while the 30-ton unit was repaired ($38,519.00) and for replacement of the HVAC control system and sensors at the Swinton Operations Complex ($56,141.00.)

Staff has been diligently working on the Delray Beach Municipal Golf Course Renovation project (Public Works Project No. 19-032) to ensure completion by fall. As part of the renovation of the clubhouse, the existing HVAC system is being replaced. The cost for this task is $1,462,825.00 therefore staff is requesting additional spending on this agreement in the amount specified to continue meeting project deadlines.
