Motion to approve June 1-5, 2026 as Code Enforcement Officers' Appreciation Week.

 

Body

Background:

The City of Delray Beach Code Enforcement Officers provide for the safety, health and welfare of the citizens in this community through the enforcement of building, zoning, housing, fire safety, environmental and other codes and ordinances.  The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for improving neighborhoods and the quality of life of residents and businesses through community education and engagement to achieve voluntary compliance. Every day, the Code Enforcement Officers, assisted by support and program staff, attempt to provide quality customer service to the public for the betterment of the community.
