Background:
At the May 26, 2020 CRA Board Meeting, the CRA Board approved a Site Development Assistance Funding award for Law Offices of Herman Stevens Jr. & Associates (Herman Stevens). The Law Offices of Herman Stevens Jr. & Associates is owned by Mr. Herman Stevens, Jr. (Owner) and is located at 75 SW 5th Avenue, within CRA sub-area #3.
The funding assistance request was approved by the Board subject to issuance of a permit, which was later obtained about 30 days after approval. Additionally, the grantee reported experiencing delays with the contractor for the commencement of work. To ensure the project is completed within he terms of the agreement, a reinstatement and amendment is requested.
The original agreement termination date was December 31, 2020. As the project is moving forward, Staff is requesting the agreement be reinstated and the terms of the funding agreement amended to extend the termination date to April 30, 2021.
