Motion to approve authorization of the execution of the mutual aid agreement between The City of Delray Beach and The City of Boca Raton.

Background:

This agreement establishes a formal partnership between the City of Delray Beach and the City of Boca Raton to provide mutual assistance and automatic aid for fire-rescue and emergency services, ensuring the closest available resources respond to incidents regardless of jurisdiction. Authorized under Florida law, the agreement enhances public safety, improves response times, and promotes operational efficiency while maintaining each city’s control over its personnel, costs, and liability, making it a critical tool for delivering effective and coordinated emergency services to both communities.
