Title
APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL SPENDING ON AGREEMENT P2024-007-I WITH NORTH AMERICAN FIRE EQUIP INC FOR PURCHASE OF FIRE EQUIPMENT PARTS, SUPPLIES AND SERVICES THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 FOR A REVISE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $1,030,000.

Recommendation
Approval of additional spending on agreement P2024-007-I with North American Fire Equipment Inc for purchase of fire equipment parts, supplies and services in the amount of $100,000 for a revise total amount of $1,030,000.

Body
Background:
On December 12, 2023 Commission approved the use of Lake County, Florida contract. The awarded term was one (1) year agreement on August 1, 2022 which was valid through July 31, 2023, with two (2), two-year options to renew. Lake County has renewed their agreement through July 31, 2027.

The Delray Beach Fire Rescue Department requests approval to increase the contract to purchase replacement Holmatro vehicle extrication equipment that has reached the end of its serviceable life. These rescue tools are mission-critical equipment used during motor vehicle collisions and technical rescue incidents to safely and rapidly extricate trapped victims. Replacing this ageing equipment is essential to ensure firefighters have reliable, modern tools capable of addressing today's vehicle construction and rescue challenges while maintaining the highest level of operational readiness and firefighter safety. Approval of this spending increase will help ensure the Department can continue providing timely, effective emergency response services while reducing the risk of equipment failure during critical life-saving operations.
