Recommendation

Recommended Action:

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as Godbout/Prievo Wedding to be held on October 10, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

 

Body

Background:

Christina Godbout and Mindy Prievo submitted a Special Event Application on May 27, 2026, for their wedding to take place at Old School Square on the corner of Swinton Avenue and NE 1st Street on October 10, 2026.  They will set up chairs for 100 guests and will do pictures and the ceremony in the grassy area between the Creative Arts School and the Vintage Gym.  The event will take place from 4:30pm to 6pm.  The reception will follow in the Vintage Gym.

 

Special Event Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.

No special conditions are recommended by SETAC

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact to the city as the event organizer will be billed for any costs.

 

Timing of Request:

The event organizers would like to be able to begin planning the ceremony.
