Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to proclaim May 14, 2018 - May 21, 2018 as National Infrastructure Week

Body

Background:

The 6th Annual National Infrastructure Week is a national week of events, media coverage, and education and issue advocacy to elevate infrastructure as a critical issue impacting America's economy, society, security and future.  During Infrastructure Week, organizations and individuals around America – from local businesses, trade associations and chambers of commerce to mayors and individual citizens – host events, tour new and innovative projects, talk about infrastructure in national, local and social media, and show policymakers at all levels of government the breadth and diversity of support for long-term, sustainable infrastructure investment.

Leaders are uniting around one message: The future won't wait. Neither can we. It's #Time To Build.
