Body
Background:
The City of Delray Beach entered into an Agreement with Palm Beach County for utilization of County's S-7 receiver network and microwave system on October 18, 2016. This agreement allows the City of Delray Beach to utilize the County's S-7 receiver network as well as allow City to use the County's microwave system to transport signals between the City's PSRS trunked radio system and the County's Master Site. The City will continue to connect to the County's Prime Site as agreed upon by a separate Interlocal Agreement pursuant to R2016-0623.

This agreement allows the City to utilize County's radio channels when City's radio system has issues, is undergoing maintenance, or during mutual aid operations. It provides for interoperability as well as backup to City's radio channels.

The initial term of the agreement expired on October 17, 2021. The agreement allows for four (4) five (5) year renewals. The amendment to exercise the first five (5) year renewal as well as to update the insurance, applicable law, non-discrimination, and E-Verify employment eligibility provisions was exercised and expires on October 16, 2026. The County provided second amendment to the agreement to exercise the second five (5) year renewal through October 16, 2031.
