Title

APPROVAL OF A RESTORATION CONCEPT FOR THE CREST THEATRE AUDITORIUM PROJECT

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve a restoration concept for the Crest Theatre Auditorium Project (Public Works Project No. 25-001).

Body

Background:

On August 19, 2025, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 167-25 to award an agreement with Mills+Schnoering Architects, LLC for Architectural/Engineering Design Services and Construction Administration of the Crest Theatre Auditorium Project pursuant to RFQ No. 2025-019.

The agreement is structured in two (2) phases. The first phase includes the development of three (3) restoration concepts for the City Commission’s choice. Once the choice has been made by Commission, the second phase of design of that concept will be negotiated and brought back to the City Commission for approval.

Today’s presentation includes the three (3) restoration concepts. A base option with two additive options, each option (Option 1 and Option 2) with increased operational, performance, and patron comfort amenities. Staff is seeking direction from the City Commission on the proposed options to begin the second phase of the project.
