Motion to approve Resolution No. 262-25 to award an Enterprise Licensing Agreement to Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI), as the city standard for ArcGIS Software in an amount not to exceed $210,900 over a three-year period.

Background:
The City relies on Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) ArcGIS software to run its Geographic Information System (GIS), including desktop, server, and cloud systems, e.g. databases for storing geographic data, desktop software for analyzing and managing geographic data, web software for publishing maps for staff and the public, and mobile mapping solutions for collecting and retrieving geographic data in the field. Data to be associated with each address or map location will include but not be limited to public safety, utility billing, zoning, future land use, historic designation, business licenses, building permits, code compliance, electoral districts, and City work orders for delivery of service.
This agreement provides the City with continuous software updates, unlimited technical support, and training opportunities. Additional benefits will be a lower cost per unit for licensed software and greater productivity and information sharing among departments and improved mapping services. ESRI is the undisputed market leader in the private and public sectors and is used by most government entities. ESRI is the sole source provider of software maintenance for ESRI products.
