Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as Cars and Clubs to be held on October 23, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
Popstroke submitted a Special Event Application on July 22, 2026 for the event Cars and Clubs to be held at Popstroke at 1314 N. Federal Highway, on October 23, 2026. This event will feature a car show for 30-40 cars as well as a few vendors and live music. This is the first time that Popstroke has applied for this event to take place. Popstroke will use part of the parking lot for the car show and attendees can park in the rest of the parking lot. They will be able to enjoy the restaurant and facilities and check out the vendors and cars before or after. They are expecting about 50-75 people. The event will take place from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.
No special conditions are recommended by SETAC
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the city, as the producer will be billed for all costs.
Timing of Request:
The event is very quickly approaching and the producer needs to know if they are approved.
