Motion to Approve Rules of Procedure for the Green Advancement Implementation Board.

Background:
The Green Advancement Implementation Board (GIAB) was created in 2009 by Resolutions 24-09 and 32-09. The GIAB has been meeting monthly to consider sustainability initiatives which would benefit the City since its inception.
In June 2016, it was requested that the Rules of Procedure for the City’s citizen boards be updated. At this time, it was noted that the GIAB had never formally adopted such Rules. The Interim City Attorney advised that the rules of similar city boards be reviewed and used as a template for the draft Rules of Procedure document for the GIAB.
The proposed rules were circulated to the GIAB members on June 10th, and adopted unanimously by the Board at their June 17th, 2016 meeting. The adopted rules were forward to the Interim City Attorney on July 8, 2016 for review and upon Interim City Attorney's recommendation are being presented to Commission for adoption.
