Motion to award a purchase to Stingray Chevrolet, utilizing Florida Sheriff’s Association contract # 15-23-0904, in the amount of $39,519.00 to purchase one (1) 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Rated Utility Vehicle.

Background:
The Fire Department through the Environmental Services Department is requesting an award to Stingray Chevrolet, utilizing Florida Sheriff’s Association contract # 15-23-0904, to purchase one (1) 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Rated Utility Vehicle, in the amount of $39,519.00.
This is a replacement vehicle for a Ford Expedition (full size sport utility vehicle) at the end of it's life cycle. The existing vehicle is 10 years old, has over 100,000 miles, and subject to frequent maintenance.
This award is in accordance with Code of Ordinances Sections 36.02(C)(7) “Utilization of Other Governmental Entities’ Contracts.”
Stingray Chevrolet has confirmed that pricing offered to the City of Delray Beach is the lowest pricing offered to any other governmental entity within the State of Florida.
Fiscal YTD spending with Stingray Chevrolet is $0.00.
