The Commission is asked to receive a verbal presentation by Mat Forrest of Ballard Partners, the lead lobbyist with the Firm for the City of Delray Beach on State legislative matters and provide input on items of priority to the city.

Background:
Mr. Forrest (who is in Tallahassee for committee meetings and thus will be participating remotely) will update the City Commission on bills of importance to the city that have been filed to date as well as any expected issues to be addressed in this year's State legislative session.
The City Commission is asked to provide input to Mr. Forrest related to any issues of concern related to the city that he should monitor or advocate for or against this session.

Timing of Request:
Mr. Forrest was asked to present prior to the start of the legislative session. Due to conflicts with legislative committee meetings, this December 8th meeting was the only City Commission meeting Mr. Forrest can be available prior to start of the session.
