Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as The Immersion Series at Community Classroom Project to be held on October 30, 2026 - November 30, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:

Community Classroom Project submitted a Special Event Application on July 30, 2026 for the event Immersion Series at Community Classroom Project to be held at 101 NW 1st Avenue on October 30, 2026 - November 30, 2026.  This event will be an ongoing collection of educational, artistic and cultural programs presented within an immersive projection environment. These will include visual experiences, lectures, workshops, culinary events, educational films and youth programming.  The Elosphere, temporary structure, can hold up to 30 people at a time.  They expect about 100 people per day to come through.  Most events will be ticketed except for opening up the experience  to local schools. Some of the events will include alcohol inside of the Elosphere.  It will operate from 5:30pm - 10:00pm everyday, except when schools come it will be open earlier for the schools.
