Title

A RESOLUTION OF THE DELRAY BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO OBSERVE FLORIDA REDEVELOPMENT WEEK

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve a Resolution of the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency to observe Florida Redevelopment Week from September 14-18, 2026.

Body

Background:

The Delray Beach CRA has received notice from the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) that Florida Redevelopment Week will be from September 14-18, 2026. The week will recognize the critical role that Florida CRAs have in strengthening Florida’s neighborhoods, downtowns, and commercial corridors. The goal is that Florida Redevelopment Week will be a state-wide initiative to highlight the successes and importance of community redevelopment efforts, and will provide an opportunity for local governments to showcase redevelopment projects, recognize community partners, and engage residents in understanding how redevelopment programs benefit the community

The FRA and the FRA Board are asking for the Delray Beach CRA to support a Resolution observing September 14-18, 2026 “Florida Redevelopment Week.”
