Background:
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a funding opportunity for the Pool Safely Grant Program (PSGP) CPSC-24-001. Under the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGB Act), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is accepting applications for the Pool Safely Grant Program. This program aims to prevent drowning and drain entrapments of children in pools and spas, by providing funding to state and local governments. The funding is for two years and supports drowning prevention education, staffing for education programming, and enforcement of pool safety regulations.
The due date for submitting applications is July 12, 2024 with awards ranging from $50,000-$400,000. There is no cost-sharing or matching if awarded.
