Recommended Action:

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as Delray Beach Pickleball is Life Challenge to be held on March 6-9, 2025; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:

Pickleball is Life, LLC submitted a Special Event Application on September 1, 2024 for the Delray Beach Pickleball is Life Challenge to be held at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on March 6-9, 2025.  This event will be 4 days of Pickleball games that will bring pickleball players into Delray Beach.  This will be the fourth year this event will be held in Delray Beach at the Tennis Center.  The anticipated attendance is 150 people per day. Event producers have submitted a full parking plan which is attached. Parking details have been worked out with Police to determine attached parking plan.

 

Special Event Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.

No special conditions are recommended by SETAC

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact to the City as the event producer will be billed for all costs.

 

Timing of Request:

The event producer would like to begin advertising the event.
