Motion to Approve Resolution No. 217-23 and execute a grant agreement with the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP GRANT 22PLN71) for funding under the Resilient Florida Program for the Delray Beach Adaptation Plan, in the amount of $100,000; Project No. 24-002.

Background:
The City of Delray Beach will complete an Adaptation Plan (AP) that is consistent with the Florida Adaptation Planning Guidebook and includes the following: assessment of adaptive capacities, prioritization of adaptation needs, and identification of adaptation strategies. The AP will also include optional subtasks such as identifying adaptation action areas, stakeholder engagement, and integrating the proposed AP into existing APs. The AP will also include a list of prioritized projects for each asset class as defined in subsection 380.093(2), F.S., for consideration and implementation. The City will provide the final Adaptation Plan to FDEP.
Per the City's Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual, Policy BF-24, Grant Administration Policy and Procedure, all grant applications must be approved by the City Commission. Therefore, Public Works requests the Commission to accept the FDEP Grant 22SRP60, authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement for the City and the City Manager to execute any amendments and/or renewals to effectuate this agreement.
