Recommended Action:

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) approve the special event known as The Vintage Black and White on the Ave to be held on November  14, 2026; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

 

Body

Background:

The Oceans for Kids Foundation submitted a Special Event Application on February 18, 2026, for the event The Vintage Black and White on the Ave to be held at the Old School Square Amphitheater on November 14, 2026.  This is a gala event to support Cystic Fibrosis.  The event will feature international food and beverage stations allowing guests to experience global cuisine in an elegant and immersive setting.  The event will have cooking on site, alcohol, and live music.  The event producer is expecting 500 people in attendance.  The event will take place from 6pm - 9:30pm.  This is the first time this event is taking place.

 

Special Event Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.

No special conditions are recommended by SETAC

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

There is no cost to the city. The event producer will be billed for all costs since this is a ticketed event.

 

Timing of Request:

The event producer would like to start securing items for the event.
