Motion to approve resolution No. 01-24 to award an Agreement to A.C. Schultes of Florida, Inc., for well maintenance and repair services, in an estimated amount of $800,000 through February 28, 2025, utilizing Tohopekaliga Water (Toho) Authority Solicitation No. IFB-19-122.

Body
Background:
On November 20, 2019, Tohopekaliga (Toho) Water Authority, awarded Solicitation No. IFB-19-122 to A.C. Schultes of Florida. Inc. for the maintenance and repairs services of wells. The initial term of the agreement was for three(3) years effective March 1, 2020, through February 28, 2023, and was renewed for one (1) additional two (2) year term, expiring on March 28, 2025.The City of Delray Beach (City) Utilities Department performs programmatic rehabilitation on its raw water wells, normally six (6) to eight (8) annually, reducing the City risk of receiving positive bacterial test results. Aquifer Maintenance & Performance Systems, Inc., has been performing rehab services on the City’s wells. The City will utilize both vendors, A.C. Schultes of Florida as a secondary vendor for FY23-24, and as a primary vendor in FY24-25.

This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies.
