Motion to approve an increase to the value of Sole Source No. SS2023-009 with Lou Bachrodt, Freightliner., for Original Equipment Manufacturer parts and related service for Freightliner vehicles by $20,000, for a FY23 total of $80,000.

Background:
On April 12, 2023, the Fleet Division (Fleet) of the Public Works Department obtained Sole Source (SS) Approval for Lou Bachrodt Freightliner for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and related service for Freightliner vehicles, valid through April 12, 2025. Freightliner vehicles consist of heavy-duty Fire vehicles within the City’s fleet. OEM parts and service are necessary to preserve the warranties of these vehicles. Due to aging equipment and increased costs for parts and repairs, Fleet is requesting an increase to the FY23 sole source value of $20,000.
