Receive presentation regarding awards given to the City, for work related to green building and green local government certification.

Background:
On March 26, 2024, the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) held it's annual awards ceremony at Aloft Delray Beach. This was the first in-person awards ceremony organized by FGBC since the COVID 19 pandemic began. FGBC selected Aloft as the site of the meeting, to highlight the Platinum level High-Rise Building certification obtained by the development in 2021. FGBC also honored the City of Delray Beach with two awards during the ceremony. One award recognized the City for obtaining the highest scoring Local Green Government certification in the year 2021. The second award was a Green Achievement Award, in recognition of passage of the City's green building ordinance, and continuing outreach that the Office of Sustainability and Resilience staff have performed to inform other communities that are pursuing or considering a green building ordinance.
