Recommendation

Motion to approve Resolution No. 97-23 to award an Agreement with Roof Painting by Hartzell, Inc., for exterior painting, repair, and resealing of the City of Delray (City) North Pump Station utilizing the City of Miami Beach Solicitation No. ITB. 2020-019-ND, in an amount not to exceed $83,694.

Body

Background:

On October 4, 2019, the City of Miami issued an invitation to bid for a Pool of Painting (interior and exterior) and Waterproofing Services contractors. The original term of the agreement was for three (3) years, effective February 10, 2020, through February 11, 2023, with two (2) additional one (1) year terms through February 11, 2025. On February 8, 2023, the City of Miami exercised its first option to renew the agreement through February 11, 2024, at the same terms, conditions, and pricing as forth in the agreement.

The North Pump Station is located at 200 NW 1st Avenue and serves the Utilities Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the storage of potable water. Keeping the maintenance of the tank surface and resealing joints ensures no contaminants enter the treated water system and helps to extend its useful life.
