Background:

The School District of Palm Beach County has requested a presentation before the City Commission to discuss their Digital Inclusion Initiative to provide quality internet access to the students of highest need in the City of Delray Beach. The project will create a "mesh" of internet coverage in the areas of highest concentrations of Free and Reduced Meal students (see attached map). This project will help to bridge the digital divide by providing equitable access to in-home broadband internet to enhance distance learning opportunities.
