APPROVAL OF THE NON-IMPACT EVENT KNOWN AS "HUNTER ROMANO WEDDING" TO BE HELD ON JUNE 26, 2027, AT OLD SCHOOL SQUARE CORNER OF SWINTON AVENUE AND NE 1ST STREET; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT.

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as Hunter Romano Wedding to be held on June 26, 2027; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
Hunter Romano submitted a Special Event Application on July 28, 2026, for the wedding to take place at Old School Square on the corner of Swinton Avenue and NE 1st Street on June 26, 2027. They will set up chairs for 100 guests and will do pictures and the ceremony in the grassy area between the Creative Arts School and the Vintage Gym. The event will take place from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The reception will follow in the Vintage Gym.
Special Event Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC):
SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.
No special conditions are recommended by SETAC
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the city as the event organizer will be billed for any costs.
Timing of Request:
The bride would like to be able to get approval and start planning the rest of the ceremony.
