Motion to approve Contract Closeout (Change Order No. 1/Final) to Foster Marine Contractors Inc., in the net contract deductive amount of $19,554; and Motion to Approve final payment in the amount of $15,873.50 to Foster Marine Contractors, Inc., for completion of the sidewalk installation project on SE 4th Street; City Project No. 2015-002.

Background:
On April 5, 2016, the City Commission approved a bid award (Bid No. 2016-059C) in the amount of $219,224 to Foster Marine Contractors, Inc., for the construction of concrete sidewalks 5 feet wide and swales on both sides of SE 4th Street from Swinton Avenue to SE 5th Avenue. The purpose of this project was to provide sidewalks which meet the City’s established level of service for areas with high pedestrian traffic.
Change Order No. 1/Final, in the net contract deductive amount of $19,554, includes plus and minus quantity adjustments and liquidates the residual funds from the contingency allowances. All changes for the project are itemized on the attached Schedule “A”. The project is complete and all closeout documentation has been received.
Change Order #1/Final is in compliance with the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Section 36.06, "Change Orders", (A)(2), "Within the Scope of Work".
After final payment in the amount of $15,873.50 is made, residual funds, in the amount of $19,554, will be liquidated from Purchase Order No.706559 to funding Account No. 334-3162-541-63.11 (General Construction Fund/Sidewalks). This project was funded by the Community Redevelopment Agency.
