Motion to approve Resolution 67-18 approving Amendment No. 1 to renew contract for undercover vehicles lease with Delray Auto Mall, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $65,000.

Background:
A bid award (Bid #2015-54) for undercover vehicles lease to Delray Auto Mall, Inc. was approved at the September 15, 2015 City of Delray Beach City Commission meeting. The original term was for three years with two optional one year renewal periods. The original term expires September 14, 2018. The City would like to exercise the first one year option to renew through September 14, 2019.
The original bid was for a minimum of six (6) vehicles at $450 per vehicle per month as well as daily rentals for covert operations at $15 per vehicle per day (further explanation will impact our operational readiness). Amendment No. 1 includes eight (8) vehicles at $450 per vehicle per month due to the increase in the need of the Police Department. The annual amount for the lease is not to exceed $65,000 which would cover leasing of eight (8) vehicles as well as estimated $21,800 for daily leases for various investigative operations.
City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding will be available in account 001-21-150-521.44-20 Rentals & Leases - Vehicles FY 17/18 for the period beginning on September 14, 2018 through September 30, 2018 and account 001-21-150-521.44-20 Rentals & Leases - Vehicles FY 18/19 pending budget approval for the remaining period of the contract.
